Google to Add New “Web” Filter to the Search Results
Google announced today that they added a “Web” filter to the search results in addition to current filter options such as “news”, “videos”, and “images”. According to the announcement, they added it after hearing from some of the users that they’d prefer to just links to pages in the search results. I can relate to this as when I’m looking for long text-based documents, it is rather annoying having to go through irrelevant shopping and other results to find what I want.
If you don’t see the “Web” option, click the “More” to find it there. Just like any other filter options, the order may change based on the search query.
Google is rolling it out globally today and tomorrow. See if you like it.
